1. Age Friendly models of care - working with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to develop and implement evidence based, age friendly care to community dwelling, older adults.
2. Cognitive screening - participated in work groups to develop standards (type, frequency, reliability, etc.) to guide selection of cognitive screening tools for community dwelling adults.
3. Caregiver Support – Participated in REACH VA pilot. Based on the National Institute on Aging/National Institute of Nursing Research Resources for Enhancing Alzheimer’s Caregiver Health (REACH) randomized controlled trial (REACH II), REACH VA (Department of Veterans Affairs) was the first national clinical translation of a proven behavioral intervention for dementia caregivers.
4. Suicide Prevention – wrote statewide suicide prevention strategy plan for the state of Fl. Commissioned by Governor Jeb Bush (2005-2010).
