Dr. Master-Hunter graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers New Jersey Medical School) in 1997. She then completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Michigan in 2000 and obtained her certificate of added qualification in sports medicine after completing her sports medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan in 2001. She has continued as a team physician at Eastern Michigan University since 2001. She is also boarded in Integrative Medicine by the ABIHM and the ABOIM. She has completed training in acupuncture by the Helms Medical Institute in 2008. She has also recently completed a fellowship in neuromusculoskeletal medicine at Michigan State University in June 2023, and is boarded in Neuromuscular Medicine by the AOBNMM (American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine) She currently has a primary care and sports medicine practice in Chelsea, Michigan where she also practices acupuncture and OMM. She continues to care for athletes at Eastern Michigan University. She has interests in patient centered primary care, as well as holistic musculoskeletal medicine with a focus on lifestyle medicine, food as medicine and non pharmacologic pain management options.
