  • About

I am a pediatric cardiologist with a focus on multimodality cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, fetal echocardiogram, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. In my role at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at Michigan Medicine, I have worked to improve care for children with various forms of pediatric and congenital heart disease. My efforts have fallen into several areas, including: (1) management of patients with single ventricle disease particularly the interstage period (2) quality improvement in non-invasive imaging, and (3) understanding and improving diversity in our workforce

    Research Overview

My scholarly contributions have focused on using cardiac magnetic resonance and echocardiography derived measures of ventricular mechanics, quality improvement projects focused on developing echocardiography-based complexity scores, uniformity in reporting and challenges with adherence to appropriate use criteria for imaging in congenital heart disease. I have also focused on outcomes-based research in single ventricle patients. I have focused my recent work on disparities in the representation and advancement of faculty and trainees in pediatric cardiology.
