  • About

Dr. Lu has a clinical focus in cardiac imaging of pediatric and congenital heart disease, using echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance, and serves as the Associate Director of Noninvasive Imaging. Patient care is the priority - each patient must be given the time to solve the puzzle of the anatomy and physiology, and each family given the time to understand what is happening or needs to be done. He has stayed close to his roots in education and continues to delight in working closely with fellows and trainees.

    Research Overview

Utilization of noninvasive imaging (echocardiography or cardiac magnetic resonance imaging) to predict and improve patient outcomes.
    • Assessment of global and regional left ventricular systolic and diastolic function by echocardiography and cardiovascular magnetic resonance
    • Cardiovascular magnetic resonance predictors of quality of life and clinical outcomes in patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot
    • Three-dimensional imaging of congenital heart disease
