I have dedicated and devoted my entire career to the role of Clinician- Educator in the Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan Medical School. I am committed to the missions of patient care, teaching, and service. I perform my clinical duties to the utmost of my abilities, assisting our clinical colleagues with the diagnosis and care of patients is one of my primary goals. I take my role as an educator of the next generation of physicians and radiologists very seriously. I believe that I am one of the very few radiologists that has contact with almost every medical student throughout their four years of medical school. I also work closely with the residents on an almost daily basis. However, my educational efforts are not limited to just medical students and residents. I have been invited to speak to a broad range of audiences from high school, undergraduate, and graduate students to practicing physicians and fellow radiologists on a wide variety of topics at numerous local, state, and national meetings. In the area of service, I have served on numerous committees at the Departmental, Medical School, VA, State, and National levels. The most outstanding of these is my service to the Michigan Radiological Society where I have served in various capacities on the Board of Trustees since 2004, including all the officer positions culminating in the Presidency from 2019 to 2020. I also helped establish the Michigan Radiological Society Foundation in 2020 and have served as the Secretary of the Board of Directors since its inception.
