The University of Michigan Medical School Department of Dermatology clinical research fellowship supports comprehensive training in clinical research within the field of dermatology.
This 2- to 3-year training program for physicians is led by Dr. Mio Nakamura, Director, Program for Clinical Research in Dermatology (PCRID).
The fellow will gain extensive experience in conducting clinical research from start to finish including study design and protocol development, grant writing, regulatory and budgeting skills, study coordination, subject recruitment and screening, conducting study visits, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation.
- Benefits and Compensation: The fellow will receive a salary based on the NIH stipend rates.
- Eligibility for Fellowship Training: Qualified applicants will have completed at least a one-year ACGME-accredited internship by the specified start date of the fellowship. Applicants must maintain a valid Michigan Medical license throughout the training period.

- Length of Training: 2-3 years
