    Research Overview

My clinical interests include disease and surgery of the retina and vitreous in adults, including retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular disease, ocular trauma, macular surgery, surgical management of complex retinal detachment, dislocated intraocular lenses with secondary lens placement. Additionally, I will provide medical and surgical management of acquired and inherited pediatric retinal disorders, including retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR), Coats’ disease, retinal detachment, and ocular trauma, as well as gene therapy for inherited retinal diseases.

My research interests are in studying best practices in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) care and
evaluating surgical outcomes after retinal surgery.
