Dr. Hunter went to medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Medical College of Ohio (now the University of Toledo Medical Center) in Toledo, Ohio. After finishing residency he worked in a variety of settings including the Indian Health Service, Kaiser Permanente and the Department Of Veterans Affairs before joining the Department of Internal Medicine in 2014. Along the way he became board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He works in a variety of service lines at the University of Medicine and is currently the Medical Director of the House Calls program. In his spare time he enjoys biking, snowboarding and cooking with his son.
