Dr. Bozadjieva Kramer's overall research interests focus on the pancreas-gut-liver axis, understanding the roles enterohepatic and nutrient signaling play in obesity, comorbidities (Type 2 diabetes, MASLD, and MASH) and how these change after rapid weight loss (diet, pharmacological, or surgery-induced weight loss). These projects employ extensive metabolic techniques including surgical, molecular, pharmacological, and physiological expertise in clinical and preclinical models.
