I am an Internal Medicine physician with a focus on medical education and equity in healthcare. Clinically, I work as a hospitalist at the University Hospital and the Ann Arbor VA, where I provide both direct patient care and teaching on general medicine resident services. As an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency, I focus on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice, working to create supportive and equitable environments for both learners and patients. I am also involved in initiatives at the medical school aimed at reducing bias in assessment and exploring the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in medical education.

My research centers on advancing equity in medical education and clinical practice. I am particularly focused on reducing bias in assessment to ensure fair evaluations across diverse learner backgrounds. Additionally, I am exploring the integration of artificial intelligence in medical education, with an emphasis on its potential to enhance learning while addressing risks of bias.
