    Dr. Heidemann is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and practices as an academic hospitalist at Michigan Medicine as well as the Ann Arbor VA Hospital. She trained at University of Michigan for Medical school and Internal Medicine Residency and was selected to be a chief resident following her training.

    Dr. Heidemann is passionate about providing comprehensive care and approaches hospital medicine with a focus on treating the whole person, not just the illness. She is dedicated to ensuring that her patients receive outstanding, personalized care that addresses their physical, emotional, and social needs.

    In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys jogging, reading non-fiction and fiction books, and going on nature walks.

    Dr. Heidemann's research interests focus on optimizing cross-cover care, aiming to improve patient outcomes during transitions between healthcare providers. As a clinician-educator she is also committed to medical education, with a particular focus on enhancing the transition from medical school to residency.
