    Dr. Khateeb is a Clinical Associate Professor of Hospital Medicine, and a Palliative Care specialist. She serves as the Associate Chief Clinical Officer for Trinity Affiliates, for the University of Michigan Medical Group (UMMG). In this role, Dr. Khateeb acts as the executive and operational lead overseeing and facilitating the sustainability and growth of collaborations between University of Michigan Health and Trinity Health Michigan, to better serve patients in our community.
    Dr. Khateeb is passionate about patient access and experience, advocating for DEI and optimal LGBTQ+ care. Her research focuses on enhancing Palliative Care practices in inpatient settings through interprofessional rounding, patient access and efficiency of care through regional health system collaborations, gender equity in academic medicine, and pain management for cancer patients.
    Dr. Khateeb has been a faculty adult hospitalist at Michigan Medicine since 2008. She earned her Medical Degree from Damascus University (Syria), and her Master of Business Administration from University of Michigan Ross School of Business. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and practices at Michigan Medicine, Trinity Health Ann Arbor & Chelsea Hospital.
    She is fluent in Arabic. She enjoys running, soccer, triathlons, water & cross country skiing.
