I'm a neurointensivist and neurologist, spending most of my time attending in the Neurocritical Care Unit. My undergraduate education was in chemical engineering, which allowed me to gain experience in analyzing systems and applying programming skills to modeling and solving complicated problems. I graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and then subsequently completed neurology residency here at the University of Michigan; I had the honor of serving as chief resident in my final year of residency. I moved out west to complete neurocritical care fellowship training at Oregon Health & Science University, in which I had the opportunity to learn from intensivists from a wide variety of training backgrounds. I returned here as an attending physician in the summer of 2023. My clinical and educational interests include communication regarding neurologic prognostication and goals of care discussions, critical care electroencephalography, multimodality monitoring, neurologic manifestations and complications of systemic disease and treatments, point-of-care ultrasonography, and status epilepticus.
