Dr. Emile Muallem is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. He was born and raised in Chino Hills, California and completed his undergraduate studies at UC Irvine. Additionally, he spent time abroad studying Marine Biology at the University of Queensland in Australia. Prior to medical school, he worked as an MCAT instructor and then as a pediatric residency coordinator in Boston, MA. He traded LA traffic for cider and donuts and moved to Michigan to attend Oakland University William Beaumont (OUWB) School of Medicine and then went on to complete both his pediatric residency training and chief year here at the University of Michigan. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Stacy, and their 2 dogs, Bella and Milo. His academic interests include medical education, nutrition and mentorship.
