    Dr. Kruger earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her residency in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Michigan. During residency, she completed the Academic Medicine and Obstetrics tracks for additional experience. Upon completion of her residency, she joined the department as faculty. She sees patients at Briarwood Family Medicine and delivers babies and provides newborn care on our Family-Mother-Baby service. She performs outpatient procedures including contraception management. She is also passionate about LGBTQIA+ health and provides gender affirming care and PrEP. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and stages of life. Dr. Kruger serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee in the Department of Family Medicine.

    Research Overview

    Dr. Kruger's research interests focus on health equity, care of the LGBTQIA+ community, care of patients with a preferred language other than English, obstetrics, and medical student education. During her residency, she completed the Health Equity Quality Scholar Program and piloted a project to improve access to written discharge instructions in patients' preferred language. She is part of the inaugural cohort of the Health Equities/Health Disparities Research Scholars Program at the University of Michigan.
