Dr. Kyler Mulhauser is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Neuropsychology Section, at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Mulhauser's research broadly spans neuropsychological functioning in neuromedical conditions, with a focus on substance use behaviors and cognition in adults and older adults. As an early stage investigator, Dr. Mulhauser has continued to build on his strong research background in neuropsychology and addictive processes while transitioning these skills to the study of older adults and those with Alzheimer's disease and Alzheimer's disease-related dementias (AD/ADRD). Prior collaborations have focused on cognitive phenotypes and treatment considerations for patients characterized by chemical and behavioral addictions, as well as patients with various neuromedical conditions, including obesity, stroke, and cancer. More recently, his research has focused on cannabis use and cognition in older adults spanning the normal aging to AD/ADRD continuum. In addition, Dr. Mulhauser is active in clinical practice conducting neuropsychological assessments for adults across the lifespan, and he supervises clinical training for post-doctoral fellows specializing in clinical neuropsychology. Dr. Mulhauser is open to collaborative research opportunities.
