The Medical School community welcomed 171 members of the incoming Class of 2024 during the 28th annual White Coat Ceremony on July 21 at Hill Audtorium.

For 171 medical students who will be cloaked at the White Coat Ceremony on July 21, their journey will begin when they cross the stage in Hill Auditorium. This time on stage and communing with their classmates, deans, faculty and staff, will cap a day of celebration that welcomes the incoming Class of 2024 to the profession, to the community, and to the University of Michigan Medical School.

Paul Fine, MD, is a clinical associate professor of internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in internal medicine at Michigan Medicine. Here, he shares how he loves to help others, his passion for piano (make sure to check out his music!) and his advice for students.

Ahmad Hider (he/him/his) is from nearby Dearborn, MI and graduated with a B.S. from the University of Michigan in 2017, followed by a Masters of Philosophy in Translational Biomedical Research from the University of Cambridge in 2019.
